Originally from Trinidad & Tobago, Lyma sings fluently in 4 languages, Spanish, Creole, Portuguese and English, she calls her music the "Essence of the Caribbean".  Her performance credits include most Disney entertainment locations and performing behind Kathy Lee Gifford for the American Anthem for the 30th Annual Super Bowl. She also performed for three years at the Bob Marley Club at City Walk Universal Studios, with her group Oildown.

 

Lyma currently has 4 CDs and 7 singles to her credit. Her sultry vocals can be heard on the albums “Every Word” by Kasai,“Groove Suite" by Sunnie Paxson, and "Fresh Water Calypso’" by Patrick Frost, the Caribbean group ‘Deja’, and other artists.

 

​​​In addition, Lyma also promoted and hosted the weekly show ‘Straight out of Florida’ on Trinidad and Tobago’s Wack Radio901fm, and is one of the Hosts for the talk show ‘The Ladies Chat Room' founded by Lyma Dunbar and John "Tobago" Joseph, which originally broadcasted on WOTS1220am renamed  The Peoples Chat Room, the show broadcasts live every Saturday from 12 noon to 2pm EST, on iChunesradio.com and on this site. The talk show delivers great guest interviews, while also providing community information on topics such as health, education, mental health, and political news and conversations.
